Pause The World: 9/11 Memorial Museum

The 9/11 Memorial Museum opened up to the public today. Family members of people that were lost on that fateful day back in 2001 had a chance to visit the museum early. It is hard to put into words all of the emotion that you feel when you visit, it ranges from anger to complete sadness. So I will let the photos do the talking. There are some sections of the museum that you are not allowed to photograph, so to see it all you’ll just have to make time to visit. You can see all of the photos that I took either on Facebook, Flickr, or Google+. We will never forget those that were lost. We will always respect and honor the brave men and women that serve our country and first responders, those that run towards danger to help, when others run from it.

  1. Thanks for this. Nice photos. They remind me of that heavy time and it’s hard to believe that it was 13 years ago. A friend of mine was someone whose body was never found. People verified that they saw her in a stairwell as they were escaping, but she never turned up anywhere. I didn’t even know she was in NYC, she lived in Chicago.

Another friend did live near the WTC and I kept calling him until I did reach him and found out that he was ok. He described coming up out of the subway and he saw a plane that seemed to be flying unusually low, but it was the plane that hit the second tower.

    It was a eerie time.
